  • desktop Desktop is a user folder
    • Shows drive icons, aliases
    • Can be used for file storage temporarily.
      Don't crowd the desktop with data!
  • An alias is a 'short cut' to a file. You can recognize an alias by the small arrow in the lower left corner.
  • Drag and drop: You can drag a file icon onto an application to open the file with that application.
  • Double click: If you double-click a file icon, it will open with the application
